probably 22pf (pico farad)
Guys, I have a ceramic cap marked 22
Can someone tell me the value of the cap?
Shouldn't it be marked with 3 numbers?
Look Here -> |
probably 22pf (pico farad)
I agree with Mysterex, and unless it's super old school - they should be a comparatable physical size too
If a 22pF 5% cap adhered strictly to IEC coding it would be 220K.
Capacitors with a value below .001µF are simply expressed in picofarads.
Whats it out of Whiteox? Unless its a UHF RF app 22pf is an unusually low value!
22p is more common in VHF.
2p2 would be UHF unless in a low Z application.
I have a whole box of older(more than 10years) ceramic caps with just two digits.
They are all picofarad values.
Yea mate 2.2 nan on a ceramic should have 222 on it
A 22 nan would be 223
Cheers
Can you meter the old one?
Reality is an invention of my imagination.

No I only have a multimeter .. it's no big deal I just didn't want to go to Dick Smiths to buy one capacitor.
