try here first mate
it doesn't work even when i try what it says to do on that site. I've tried in so many different ways. and tried all the things it says to do if 1 thing doesn't work.
it just won't work and its so frustrating.
Well for starters what's not working?
Are you trying to connect through a wireless modem/router or are you using one of those Nintendo USB WiFi Connector?
Can your DS see your wireless network?
Can you get online but not connect to games?
Need a few more details cause I could put a walkthrough up but chances are I would be telling the same things your already read/tried before.
I have a wireless router so I'm trying to connect thru that.
and iunno if it can see the wireless network?
every time i put in the info(atleast i think its the right info) that it says to and then click 'test connection' it says error something or rather and that it cant connect ;[

Do you have encryption on your wireless network? What WEP are you using?
Is your router connected to the internet at the time? What error are you getting back from your DS when you try and connect? Hidden SSID on your wireless connection?
When you test connection are you getting 3 bars on the signal strength logo in the top right (I think its top right might be left), or is it red?
I actually got frustrated at mine yesterday when it wouldn't connect and then I realised I had the modem off

yeh i have a WEP encryption. i put the right encryption code thingy in.
My router's always on the internet. so thats not the problem.
I get back error.. 50099 it says there's no access point in range. I'm only 2-3 metres away from my router. so iunno. I'm jst getting a red thingy in the top right.
I've done everything is says to do on the nintendowifi help site and it still won't work. i went on so many sites that i found on google to help and i still can't get it to work! ;[
ok found the problem.
last time i checked the Nintendo site it said my modem was compatible.
But I've jst checked it now and it says it isnt.
so yeh dw bout it.
Stoopid DLINK DSL-G604T
Hate to break it to you but I have a DLink DSL-G604T.
Works fine!
Hmm what sort of encryption are you using, I had to drop mine back to the lowest form of WEP to get it to go.
Maybe try moving further away from the access point (yes I know that sounds wierd!)

I am so confused now.
well it said that it the DSL-G604T USUALLY doesn't work.
how do i kno wat sort of encryption i use?
I know I'm using WEP.
how do i kno wat 'form' ?
and i think i need to get the settings right be4 i try to move cloer to or away from the modem thingy.
(If you haven't already) Try going into your modem and changing the wireless channel to '1' or '11' (or 12?). I had troubles connecting to my Wii when it was on the default channel '6' but as soon as I changed it to '1' it connects every time.
Just a thought...........tez
try turning your encryption off, see if you can get it to connect, if yes then try turning it back on. Are you punching hex key or the phrase?
Might try updating the router firmware...eeek
I changed the channel to 1 but it still won't work.
I dont think I'm putting the right info in.
I'm having the same trouble with my DS .Was working great when we had no security settings on the router ie Billion 7202g but after we created WPA security with a key number I haven't been able to get on at all no matter what settings I load into the DS..
I think the DS only allows WEP encryption. I remember having to change it from WPA to WEP because I wanted to try out the Nintendo Wi-Fi.
Exactly right, NO WPA on the DS, WEP only, it was a huge complaint when it came out.

I've like given up on connecting to wi-fi on it.
I done everything u guys said but it wont work ;[
try giving the DS a static IP address instead of auto settings. same with DNS (ipconfig /all at a command prompt will give you the settings)i have the same modem and had the same problem until i did this. now it works fine.
