NOTES FOR USE:
Locked files must be accompanied by a JM generated unlock code in *.unl file. The names of the gpi and unl files must match. The FID700 files can be used on any supported unit. FID2496 files will only work on older units 2010 and earlier [e.g. nuvi 1xxx, 2xx, 465, 5xx, 7xx 6xx, 3xx. SP5xx & 2720]. For 2011> series nuvi, dezl, zumo, RV use FID700 only [e.g. nuvi xx, 2xxx & 3xxx]
Locked gpi file and appropriate unl file may simply be copied and pasted to a folder named POI [not case sensitive] on the unit or on an sd. Unlocked gpi file doesn't need an unl file and is standalone.
Location and naming of the containing folder is not important and although by convention Garmin folder [for earlier units] or in later units a root folder is used, POI can even be in .System folder and can be another descriptive name, eg Cams or even XXX will work if they contain the correct gpi file.

Hard to say. Garmin doesn't issue a changelog for Cyclops afaik. New files for AU on 6th too but i haven't bothered to post them. Might only contain 1 extra camera or maybe dozens. Who knows? Maybe pietu can say. If you want the ones for 6th I can post them, but they may even issue new ones for 7th too. Not every country gets updated every time though.

A little OT, so sorry in advance. I really like Zippy because you can do parallel downloads and they really are 'zippy'. No hoops to jump thru, no tricky buttons that load unwanted sh*t. Been good for a couple of years now, living proof that you don't have to accommodate the scammers to have a viable hoster site.
Australia & Eastern Europe update comes every day, but only date is usualy changed hash check is also different because file date inside file is changed.
you can check it better eg. with ultra compare, or simply check file size if camera added or removed file size is different
I do not know why Garmin do that, I think it is some auto generate bug...
This update comes today and only date changed again...

Yes, that's all correct. A hex compare shows only a difference in the header with date and other irrelevant info changed, nothing else.It just beats me why they do this only with Australia and the other as you pointed out, when the remaining countries don't get 'falsely' updated like that. Greece for instance has still had the same identical file since 19th Feb with no change to the date, Sth Africa since 20th Feb, France since 28th, etc etc. Quite odd and a bug is the probable explanation for the 2 exceptions although I hadn't thought of that previously. Thanks for that likely explanation.
It's quite annoying because the only way to know if Aust has actually been updated is to download and then compare to the previous file. Bl**dy frustrating!
EDIT: Australia file for 10th March is again identical except for header info.

Finally Garmin has issued a truly updated file for Australia. A compare shows at least five changes apart from the usual for the date etc.
