    Default Removing What a Program Opens with.

    At the moment all my .bin files are set to open with vlc media player, dunno what happened there.

    I just want those files to show as bin files, how do you remove the association.

    file associations for XP -

    or for windows 7 - control panel - default programs - Associate a file type

    and removing all associations for a filetype (opens with nothing) -

    and a utility to do it in win7 -

    It's Win 7 that is the same , can someone tell me what their bin files are set at.

    I haven't tried this prog linked below but it looks like it may to the trick.



    Works with 7 and 7 64bit

    I just set them to be opened with Notepad

    Just right click it and select properties blah blah here is a picture instead
