Default VoIP Service - Who to Choose

I am wondering who to choose for as a VoIP provider. The main purpose of me having a VoIP number is to recieve Direct In-Dial (DID) calls via a phone number (such as 07xxxxxxxx). I signed-up to DoDo's $4.95/month plan and recieved installed their hardware. After spending over 2 hours with technical support I was told to send it back and they would cancel my plan.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good VoIP provider that knows of a plan that would suit my needs aswell as offer the option to purchase the hardware required to run the system.

NOTE: I have heard good words about MyNetFone I am also wondering what experiences others have had with them.

Been with MNF over a year. I imported my gear from UK but MNF have offers.

Very satisfied with them. Check out their website for plans, deals, etc.

Also check out the forum that sounds like a washing machine for good info.

In you post you refer to checking out the forum. What forums are you referring to. The Austech forums or MNF forums, because I could not find forums on the MNF site.

MNF very good I have been using them for a long time
join up at the washing machine forum and then join the MNF deal - you get a DID thrown in and no monthly fee (if that offer is still going, you will have to check)

    good call rates to mobiles

actually you don't need to join the forum if you don't want to, just need the links

Pennytel is also popular for cheap calls

+1 for MNF, Pennytel are okay and cheap, it often depends on how much technical support you may need?

I have just setup voip for the first time gone with Engin as my mate has been with them for a few years. Good thing is they don't have a call centre based in India & you actaully can communicate with them

We've been using World Dial Point for a few years without any problems. Frank has been good to deal with..

Have also used Faktortel without issue. Only reason for moving was their plans not suiting our call patterns..

Today many businesses have substituted their existing phone service with a Voice over Internet Protocol service because of its features like Reducing costs, Easy of management, Mobility and portability. This is for all ppl interested in voip services and for the longest time I am using T1 everywhere VoIP servicebecause they are so much cheaper than any other service, and this company has a good reputation in the market.

Hi everyone, Im new here so i should say gday first.
Im with Go Talk, seems ok but can anyone tell me if Pennytel is better/cheaper?
I currently pay $30 odd a month but i suppose it depends on how many phone calls etc

    Anyone using Exetel's voip ?

I am thinking about churning to them, ADSL service includes a static IP and the standard no access fee VOIP plan including a free DID.
