    Default WebXTV with Win7

    Cant get this to work on my Win 7 notebook. I downloaded VLC, but when I click on WebX it still says to download plugin? I have already installed VLC, but don't know what else to do?

    Did you Try downloading the plugin ?

    Bit of info here if you haven't seen it, not relating to win 7 but it might lead you in the right direction.

    There was no plugin found. I downloaded VLC.

    When you install VLC you have to tick "activeX plugin".

    Also, make sure you have a valid copy of VLC, lot of download links to copies that have been modified, malware and such.

    latest versions are a bitch, go to an earlier version of VLC and it works, I use 0.8.6c for my webXTV

    Latest version 1.1.10 works fine for me on Windows 7.

    ok, just installed from the link above, which is 1.1.10. Made sure active X was ticked. But when i click on WebX TV, i still the "click here to download" icon in the middle of the screen, and "Install missing plugin" on the bar at the top? Do I need to enable anything in firefox?

    did you tick the firefox extension in the VLC install?

    If you're using Firefox, you need to tick "mozilla plugin".
