iptv is the way to go now.
if you have a decent broadband connection. grab an iptv box. install ftp play and Bob's your uncle.
I can only watch NetViet as a free channel on C-Band (2.3M disc). All VTV and HTV channels are no longer on air???

The VTV Channels, HTV7 and HTV9 are still available. Details below:
VTV 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
Freq:3590V
S/R: 19200
HTV 7,9
Freq: 3547V
S/R: 2000
For the HTV transponder you might have to enter the details in Manually as it doesn't always come up on a Blind Scan because the S/R is so low.
Also bear in mind they are having extreme weather in VN at the moment so signal levels are all over the place. If it doesn't work in the daytime try again in the evening!
Thanks, Mr_Strewth. I did manually enter the details as per your instruction but still could not pick up VTV and HTV channels. Anyway, what I could not understand, is how come the Netviet channel are OK to watch even on weak signal?
What model reciever do you have?
My receivers are Irdeta SatKing DVBS 200S2. I have two receivers, one on each floor (upstair & downstair). They both were working OK until a few months ago, when all HTV and VTV channels disappeared (only NetViet is available). At that time, I thought that the trees near the disc were getting high and blocking the signals, so I chopped them all down. I did not get my channels back but I got an earful from my wife!!!
Being that you have lost both VTV and HTV I am guessing that your dish might have moved slightly. The NetViet transponder can work even with low signal but VTV and HTV need a decent signal to get a lock.
Physically look at the dish to make sure there is no damage first. If it looks OK then maybe worth checking if the dish has moved. This is where a signal meter would be useful. You could push/pull the dish slightly from left/right and up/down to see if the signal improves (just use gentle pressure, you don't want to damage the dish) and then you know which direction to make the adjustments. Moving the dish just a few mm can make a difference.
Of course the other thing it could be is the LNB, but being that NetViet is working and you mentioned that VTV and HTV worked before i'm still guessing the dish might have moved a few mm.
Good Luck
I recently checked vinasat 1 and found most channels have departed. Personally I think my dish is to small (2.3m) and yes it is peaked in. Will check and rescan tomorrow using my newer receivers.
I also have a 2.3m and having no problems right now. I did notice that the 2 HTV channels didn't come up in the blind scan and I had to manually enter them but they are working fine. I get:
VTV1
VTV2
VTV3
VTV4
VTV5
VTV6
VTV7
VTV8
NetViet
HTV7
HTV9
It's not as simple as comparing dish size.
There are a lot of variables, in particular, location and atmospheric conditions and accuracy of alignment.
Dishes vary, just as you couldn't expect several different makes of 2.3l engines to perform identically.
You then have the LNB/F, the type and length of cable and the type of connectors and how well they are terminated.
There's the receiver, any DiSEqC or multiswitches in the signal path, etc, etc.
As you can see, there are many contributing factors that can determine what one person may receive OK and another may not.
just checked and I only get NetViet at 3480V reasonably strong but I can't get the Others but most importantly my duo2 scans it and says it found one channel but doesn't load it to my table. The Skybox A1 Finds it and loads it correctly but when it comes to the other Transponders I can't get any of them when I test in the morning. Something very odd with this bird
The Mux on 3590V with all its 13 channels was back on late yesterday arvo. Funny thing is most of the time I test nothing is there during the early morning but later in the arvo there back on reasonably strong. Yep the Vu duo2 finds them I re-save them but I think 4 or 5 of them are encrypted. After this I checked the same transponder with The Skybox A1 and without doing anything the encrypted ones show me lovely pictures. I think the expensive Duo2 is being embarrassed by a budget box
Mr 672A, Do you think my problem is due to the out of date receiver box (Irdeta SatKing DVBS 200S2)? Which model receiver gave you the problem of not picking up VTV and HTV channels?
hi all,
Just to clarify few issues here:
I have 2 satellite boxes at home, one is Strong HD and Ultraplus x-9200. I can watch all Vietnamese channels ie vtv/htv and netviet no problem. But the blind scan can not pick up HTV on the Ultraplus box. I haven't try manually entering TP yet. I will update later
Many receivers behave in that way because of the lower gain at 1603MHz IF frequency. Other causes maybe long cable run or dodgy joiners, splitters
If manual scan doesn't pick it up try an inline amp.
with the right software you should also get the HD's 1,2,3,6 and 9
To whom it may concern,
I wonder if anyone can pick up VTV6 HD on Vinasat 1 C band from oversea. I found the following technical data on the net

If your receiver has director patch, VTV 6 as well as 1,2,3 and 9 are well received.
In Xcruiser forums there's Director, PVu and Biss coconut plugins,
