Try removing phoenix should be /dev/tts/0

seems to not work if phoenix is placed at the end, well for me anyhow

Don't you have to uncheck that serial com port option within the dream to enable the port ? Don't have one in front of me but a search of the forums should give you want I'm referring to.

If you referring to ‘Don't use serial port’ in expert menu I have tried that as well. NewCS works fine without enabling any serial port options.

Cccam will only read nds via the phoenix at 3.57mhz. If you want to read it faster it can be read in the slot at 7.80mhz. Or you can use a smargo usb/phoenix reader in your dream and run it at 7.80mhz.

I will have a few smargos in a week or so if your interested let me know.

You don't need camkey/camdata stuff in your config as well.

    Hope that helps.

That doesn't answer my question if internal reader running @ 7.8 would have better response times over external reader running at the same speed.

Well mate when the question asked is:

"Are you currently running an N*S card at 7.8 MHz in a SmartReader + with CCcam ? Is this validated with reduced ECM response times ?

    And the answe is:

    "Yes"

I would assume he is comparing the smargo to the internal slot. Wouldn't you?

Sorry for the misunderstanding I meant in general. If there is difference. Between Internal DM slot and external reader running at 7.8

For a small time user you will not see a difference other than the NDS card may run a little colder in a external reader.

After marking around with the different cams I decided to go with NewCS 1.50 (win32 / pheonix) + MgCamd 1.29 as If i understand mgcamd config correctly it should work with nD$ and keep updates going.

Warbo or anyone else can you please confirm my assumption?
