New DM 800

Hi there,
Currently been on the dreambox scene for about 2 weeks and have a dm518s setup with foxtel but im not sold on the box. Its slow and sometimes unresponsive and i still cant figure out the EPG. So I think its time to upgrade to a dm800 so i can have Better features.

Questions:
here can i buy the box from in australia? id prefer not to buy off ebay.
Also what image should i use aswell.

DM500 is faster. Dm800 takes about two minutes to boot.
If it is 'slow & unresponsive, then it is probably the IR pickup is out of alignment on the front panel. pull it apart & align the remote pickup properly.
The EPG is easy. depending on image, either press up or down on the navigation buttons, or pressing OK will bring up the EPG. then up/down through the list, or left/right to scroll a full page at a time.
If you find it hard to read, then go into the setup & change the skin.

And image doesn't matter so much. don't get hung up on 'images' it's just the front end. The real important bit are the emulators.

If u wanna update your dreambox look at getting a DM500HD or a Vu+ Duo

hey thanks for the responses.
I cant get my head around the EPG i can see whats now/next but i cant get a full EPG say like foxtel with the full week ahead view. Thats why i was thinking about a DM800 cause then i can have Enigma2 installed which has better plugin features.
Is this correct?

If you do a search of the site for "oztivo" I think you might find what you are looking for.

I've got oztivo on a DM518 & CrossEPG on a vu+ & it's no contest. The E2 box wins hands down. In my opinion, it's worth the additional cost for the EPG alone.
