    Default DM 500 MANUAL Cam install

    am trying to install CCCam 2.08 onto a dreambox with Gemini that only has 2.04 built in to install
    I have downloaded 2.08 and put it into the temp folder of the dreambox but cannot get it to install, am i doing something blaringly obviously wrong?

    currnetly using CCCam 1.71.

    cant you install it from the bluepanel GP server?

    was it a .tgz file because if i recall to install manually it needed to be .tgz

    where do i find CCam 2.08 as a tgz file?

    OK done that but having issues trying to figure out where to put it in order to FTP it to the temp folder of the dreambox (if that is where it should be put)

    when i extract the file it gives me a var folder with bin/script/uninstall in it

    maybe im not getting the complete file?

    don't extract it just place it in /tmp and install from blue panel manual install

    transfer fails? what luck
    ftp app says cannot create remote directory, filetrying to transfer to temp folder is > {e1-CCcam_2.0.9.tar]
    or e1-CCcam_2.0.8_080227.tar gz

    Are you transferring to the existing /tmp directory or trying to create /temp?

    What FTP program are you using? FileZilla is free and works a treat.

    sorry guys, thanks to pollywaffle i sorted it out.
    FTP was playing up, never thought i'd thank IE !
    but did get ccCam2.08 onto the dreambox, very iffy on the AU but i will play with it a bit more tweaks et al.
