In Nero, Under the ISO tab of New Compilation window, select the boxes "ISO level 2" and "Allow more than 255 characters in path"
this should work, otherwise try another burning software like
DVDVideoSoft Free Studio, its free and does everything
I need to burn a disk with a long file name that needs to be maintained. I can give the ISO image the correct name, but when I burn it (DVD-ROM ISO) with nero, it won't accept the last character. The name is something like "ABC version 15.00", and nero will only take "ABC version 15.0".
The disk is some 980MB, so needs to go on DVD, but I'm wondering which format will take the 17-character name??
cheers
ian

Just a long shot when ever I have had that problem with length
I would just move the IMG/file to root drive
so when Nero looks at it will see
" C:\ABC version 15.00 "
but when she is on the desktop she will see
" C:\Users\Lap Top\Desktop\ABC version 15.00 "
Just a thought
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

why bother?
abc ver 15.00
its only the disc name

what ver nero are you using
tried ver 9
it allows more than 16 chr but puts underscore in place of blanks/spaces
what about
make a image of the disk with say alcohol 120
then mount it, you wont need to burn it.
