Default DM500S Can't get Horizontal signal

My mate's DM500s can't scan horizontal frequency. Read on the net possible failure of U70, R708 and R709. Any idea what the spec for U70,R708 and R709? Anyone have the service manual for DM500S?

Did you check the settings in the Satellite Configuration and set it to non-standard user defined then set voltage to H/V
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

Thank You all for the reply! The DM can get vertical frequency alright. The setting and LNB are fine. Tested the DM on my place aslo give the same result.

Black Hole Thank You so much for the schematic diagrams. Really helpful!

DM500 power supplies are crap. Try another one as this fixed my H/V isue.

btw...Rockby Electronics in Victoria have proper 4A 12v power bricks on sale for $20 (even though the 500 only really needs around 2A...).

Cheers m8! BTW if using one of the 4A power supply for long hours, would it be too hot for the DM500?

Nope...The new brick runs cooler than the original DM one. The heat in the DM itself makes no diff as it will only draw the current in needs..

I have the same problem - but just did a blind scan with a strong, and it only found vertical tp's.
    New LNB for me!
