Hi Guys,

I was browsing around the Silicon Chip site when I stumbled across an old article for an Ultrasonic Cleaner.

As I do all of my own automotive work the idea was very appealing, so I did some further research and came across a simple design involving some transducers, pc to generate the signal and a standard audio amp for powering.

What I don't know is the effectiveness and size container I'd be able to use with a couple of 50w transducers?

Jaycar have transducers, although costy

And as usual ebay as the china cheap model, which visually looks the same as the jaycar unit and has the same specs.

Then again you can get a whole china spec unit for 30 bucks, might be better off grabbing 3 or 4 of these and slapping the transducers & driving circuit on a bigger tub?

Has anyone else built one of these units or know a bit about them?

Cheers!
