Was the satnav meant to be included in the purchase? If yes, the dealer needs to fix it.

I agree, if the hardware is there, it only needs the software.

Besides, there are software upgrades from time to time, so it must be possible just to install it.

Looks like another thread on updating the same/similar system.

If the hardware is installed there will be a nav unit in the top of glove box.

And at this stage for the ve 2 it can not be retro fitted

Are you able to see it without removing glove box?

yep just open the glove box and look for a box with VDO on it

ve series 1 can be retro fitted with a nav unit

Hey Cro, what do you need satnav for?

I go to a lot of effort to tell Commodore drivers where to go, i use my fingers to point them in the right direction, they should never be lost if im around.

This is definitely incorrect, the satnav module is integrated into the audio unit on VE series 2.
To tell if your audio unit has satnav, remove the lower right hand side console panel. You will be able to see the side of the audio unit.Look for a slot in the case a bit bigger than the size of an SD card.If the slot is empty, you don't have satnav,if it has an SD card slot you do have satnav.
The maps are loaded onto the unit through this SD slot, the radio operating software is loaded through the USB slot in the console.

Note:Even though the radio has a satnav button ,it doesn't mean that it is fitted.

    Hope this helps.

    Question SD Navigation Software upgradable?

    Hello from Germany,
a friend of mine is a owner of an HSVE3 11/2012 and he is looking for newer software. He told me its the same as in a Holden Commodore VE2.
Producer of the navigations software is Continental. Exist software for Europe?

maybe someone can help us out.
