After a trial of one month it seems to have been a worthwhile service so we will be continuing with it. The upload box is currently disabled until we renew the service, but the filebox is still active.

Stats for the month are 2.43 gig of files, 2948 downloads using 131.44 gig of bandwidth.

That has now been restored and will be a permanent addition to the site.

    I now understand your problem.
You are using " MediaFire " to upload images, that is for Files.

For images, in the reply message box, immediately above the input box, you will find this:-

    "
    • Add image to post ".

Left click there and U/L image from your PC, browse and select image/size/class etc. When you close, it auto inserts link in your post.
    Piece of cake really.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

Once you set that up, just hit "Upload it".

Otherwise it may be " Chrome ". I use FireFox.

As above... I tested it with Chrome. Worked the same as with IE.

Talking It's not the wheel, it's the nut behind the wheel.

I eventually nutted out your problem.

You had the 'Resize Pull Down' menu set to Thumbnail.

And that is what caused all the angst.

Is it possible to delete files uploaded to filebox?

For example. If you accidently uploaded a duplicate or there is a new version uploaded and the old outdated version is no longer needed.

Sorry Greg, I missed your post. It is possible to delete files but not by users.

Unfortunately we have had to make some changes. We have turned off direct downloads meaning that downloads arent automatic, you will receive a mediafire page and need to click on a button. I am not sure what this has done for speeds ? Comments appreciated.

We have had to do this due to its popularity, we simply cannot afford to pay for all the bandwidth people are using. At a guess, I would think it would be around 600 gig+ a month.
