First box is that DreamUP_1_3_2_1 is not recognising the box to flash it &

2nd box flashes ok, but cannot get any pic or menu on the TV ??

Did the boxes work before or were they bought faulty etc? There could be a number of reasons for these errors. The 7000's have a load of caps which dry out and need replacing and they are a real bitch to change. I would check the scart socket hasnt had the pins pushed in or damaged, as I have seen a couple with damaged socked from people being too rough.
What would you do if your server was stolen or failed beyond repair?

    Hi,

Fixed the issue with the box not booting up and no picture.

Made a Jtag to suit and reflashed the bootloader.

    All is good now.

Below is a guide and software on how to reflash your bootloader.

The info comes from another forum, but it works 100%.

I made the cable with the 5 resisters only, no buffer chip.

    Enjoy.

The other box is still no go.

When powered up the display lights up orange only- no text at all.

When connecting to dream up it doesnot recognise the box at all.

It says power up dream, when it is powered up.

Jtag method above does not work either.

    Any ideas ???

    Cheers.

Just change the ones that are bulging at the top, or have a brown discolouration.

If it were me I would change all the electrolytics in the PSU section.
Because most gear manufactured around that time had dodgey electrolyte.

Told you that by pm anyways....
