    Default Orange card.

Has anybody had any luck with the orange f***el nds card in the front slot of a dm500s running cccam 2.09.

No pictures for me. Tried an older blue nds and pictures come up ok.

    Thanks.

Run CCcam from the console and check error messages.

Seems like hd in the new dm800 etc might be an issue. I have hd now but they still havent turned on the channels. I don't mind the iq2 but prefer the dreams if they will work. I have both cards too. I might do some tests. Anything anyone can recommend to test apart from console messages? I know newcs just says "not ok". I'm afraid I dont really know what I should be looking for as far as errors go.

Oh well, looking at it, it seems to at least init with newcs but it takes a few restarts etc and seems flakey. Might be just be me...I aint no expert I just like watching telly.

I notice these orange ones are nds p2 cards. I did a search and there are some german sites listing the features of radegast v4 or so with nds p2 support at 3.56 mhz I think. I know my setup is running 6mhz.

I have a huuuge disk in my dm. Jeez how am I going to tell the missus she cant record a billion hours of star trek anymore? LOL

newcs has a debug console. In the console you can change output debug levels so it spits out more data. Enabled console from within the newcs xml config file.

You should give radegast a shot first if it claims to support it. Also try with NewCS/CCcam at 3.56mHz.

yeah going to try this now. As newcs sees the card ok with no errors.

Thats orange card from one of my standard IQ's I also have a standard box and that card (blue) works fine in the dream. I also have HD but they havent enabled the HD channels yet anyway, and its also an orange card so I cant be naffed plugging it into my dream. What a pity eh, I was looking foward to hd on the new dm800 etc. Oh well saves me some money on Iq and Iq2 boxes that were just going to sit in the corner.

Anybody have any experience setting up a radegast server? If so can it run on win32?

Can you guys try CCcam as the server?

Maybe try and install CCcam 2.09 and then modify cccam.cfg in var/etc or usr/etc to have only this line in it.

    TRY ALL CHIDS : /dev/sci0

(If running in the dreams slot)

I had a blue standard box for ages and got sick of fighting the kids, so when I upgraded to HD I also got 2 extra IQ boxes plus kept the standard (tho I was going to upgrade the standard it just lucked out that I didn't). So orange cards were delivered with iq2 boxes this month.

Thanks Sanity, read that about the p2. Not sure what to think about it though. I did slip and jam it into my standard box by mistake I think but it still seems to work.

Can you confirm that the orange card will work in a non iq box.
    Thanks.

Ok sorry, slightly ambiguous _ I meant that I stuck it (orange) in the standard box and it still worked afterwards when I put it back in its proper iq box. But no, it told me that it was the wrong card and same for the blue in the iq box.

I slip and jam stuff where its not spose to go a lot.
