I hear they use the EMK data Base Manager and that will extract the EMK line
And then they use the gup loader to send that to the card
So i have heard
Ok guys, have logged my required serial hex using Dreambox_EMK_Logger and need to know how to manually update it. What part of it is the EMK and what proggy to use to update (FMCard, CardBlaster etc)? Also is there any Linux app that can run a card command to do this?
Cheers,
Bali

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
Sounds like you have good hearing best4less
Who is that knocking on your door Best?
I heard that rumour too....
Dont forget to take out the 4 zero's if using FMcard
Pleae expand on that Conan. I use Dreambox_EMK-Logger to log the data. Then I use EMK_DATABASE_MANAGER to load the .emk file generated by the logger app. After loading I search for my serial number and obtain the following line
2008060911 CBS1S2S3000000XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX
The first part is obviously the date and file index. All I could identify from the rest is the CBS1S2S3 serial hex number. After which I have 6 zero's.
Are we talking about the same thing? Please smebody shed some light.

Bali
Use the whole line if you are using the gup loader
