Default Wireless Weather Station outdoor sensor problem

I got a cheap weather/thermometer off ebay a few months and the other night the out door sensor just died.

I had a look inside but all looked ok. And yes i changed the batteries !

Has anyone had a play with one of these or have any suggestions on what i could look at?
I can post up a pic of the internals if needed.
    Cheers

My dad has one nearly the same as that. His had the same symptoms.I think he found that if something ie:a wall is in the way it doesn't work too well.Try moving the sensors closer together.

Bloody hell that was cheap. I got the WS3600 that was around $300 (wanted the internet capability). At that price you could buy another one just for spare parts

Vampyre, It wasn't about getting signal to the main unit. The outdoor one is dead. It has a screen which is blank, should show temp on it.

Yer i think i might just ask them if i can get another outdoor unit and see how much they want for that.
