    Default Solution 862 Issues

    hi

we have a home alarm: Solution 862 that we inherited when we purchased our house
we have never used it as we were not sure it was working or not
tonight we got back home and the panel next to the door is illuminated and making beeping noises on and off

does anyone have any tips on neutralising the system until we are able to call a tech out tomorrow or the day after?

please note we do not have any codes for this system

    thanks in advance

Sounds to me like there was a power failure while you were out, and the battery on the system is dead. So upon restoring power, it came back in the armed state. That beeping, is the system going into alarm though mercifully your siren is cactus also.

Find the metal box hiding in a cupboard or the ceiling, disconnect the battery and unplug the power supply. When you get an alarm tech to attend, have him reuse the wiring but replace it all with a modern system, some smoke detectors (monitored) and your life will be awesome.
