    Default Crow Powerwave 64

    Hi Guys,

I've been offered a Crow Powerwave system quite cheaply be a freind. Quite interested as it has 64 zone compared to my current 8. He dosen't seem to have the installer coe.

I've read into the manual, and it seems you can get into programming mode just like the ness. Does this mean i will be able to actually CHANGE the installer/master codes.

Also, dose anyone know suppliers for Crow Accessories in Perth that will sell to non security companies?

After reading the manual, i agree.... VERY much like the ness indeed.

Is the Crow a good system. Does it allow UP modules with smartphone apps to arm / disarm?

There WAS a supplier in Perth but I haven't heard boo from them for over a year and I know the guy that was running the place has moved on.

The powerwave system is getting a bit long in the tooth, (make sure you get the LCD keypad, the LED is once again looking very aged) it works fine though. There isn't any fancy IP modules you can attach to them. Crow seem to be a little stagnant when it comes to this sort of development.
And to confirm, yes you can get into programming "that" way and you will gain access to all Master and Installer codes

If hes a good mate tell him to give it to you for free, they cant be that much new. Is it the "Runner" series ? I found the earler models are easer to program.

The Power Wave 64 doesn't have entry level access control like the runner series either, so you can only use it strictly as an alarm panel
