She may have been spiked that things a good 20 yrs old time for a new one
Does anyone know what chip is used to drive the Siren, Bell, Strobe?
There are no identifications on the chip itself.
The symptom is that the siren has a continuous crackle even with the alarm disarmed, no sound when alarm is activated.
Thanks.

Could be a leaky relay

Anyone have the circuit Diagram / schematics for this model or similar?
So I can work out the chip and problem?

The Bosch panels use a CA3262 (quad inverting power driver). I'm guessing it would be the same or similar.
Illudium Q36 Explosive Siren Modulator.

I have a spare 905 in stock that I'm going to install next week. It's my last one - I've finally finished the pallet-load I bought on special in 1991. I'll take it apart and have a quick look to see if there are any markings on the output driver chip, if that helps.
BTW: Tomorrow, I have to burn a new EEPROM using my EDM programmer and do a chip-change on a 908 for a customer who wants to change their master code.

I understand car restoration but panel restoration has me lost
I think it has past it use by date
Chip + hours + 905 = worn out old 905
Yes. This thread is an enormous steaming pile of C&K 236i.
George, I'll lend you mine, if you like (I'm not joking).
Had some good news yesterday - ADI were unable to supply a 238i keypad. Bad news was lots of 236i parts in stock.
