Question Faulty Alarm - EDM Digitalarm 905

Does anyone know what chip is used to drive the Siren, Bell, Strobe?
There are no identifications on the chip itself.

The symptom is that the siren has a continuous crackle even with the alarm disarmed, no sound when alarm is activated.

    Thanks.

Anyone have the circuit Diagram / schematics for this model or similar?
So I can work out the chip and problem?

    Cool

The Bosch panels use a CA3262 (quad inverting power driver). I'm guessing it would be the same or similar.

I have a spare 905 in stock that I'm going to install next week. It's my last one - I've finally finished the pallet-load I bought on special in 1991. I'll take it apart and have a quick look to see if there are any markings on the output driver chip, if that helps.

BTW: Tomorrow, I have to burn a new EEPROM using my EDM programmer and do a chip-change on a 908 for a customer who wants to change their master code.

Thanks, I think you may be right.
I've checked further and it might actually be UDN2543B since pins 4 & 5 and pins 12 & 13 are fused together on the IC, as per spec.
I'll do some further testing now, and then see about buying a chip for replacement.

The time spent by everyone posting in this thread would buy 10x 905's and give you some change...

I almost sacked a tech today. Guy rings in asking me to buy him a default chip for a 236i...

Had some good news yesterday - ADI were unable to supply a 238i keypad. Bad news was lots of 236i parts in stock.

Don't your techs all carry a blowtorch and a grinder?

George, where can I buy some more 905's? As you can see in my earlier post, I've now run out of stock and am looking for more.
