I added a wireless access point (wifi router ) to my home network that consists of another wifi router/modem and i'm getting cyclic disconnections.
Stupid win7 network sharing has created another home network which is possibly causing the issues, is there any trick to adding a 2nd wifi access point ? The 2nd point is downstairs in a spare room and networked to the modem router that connects directly to the internet.

Yes, one is a modem/router that is directly connected to my main pc and internet and the other is connected to one of the modem/routers ports in another room. I'm not getting the droupouts anymore as i have the lan cable from other router connected to wrong port, just not getting either a wifi or wired connection to 2nd router. I couldnt find a good guide but i'll look for a filter mac address option.
The second (just added) wifi router needs to be connected with its WAN port to the "main" router LAN ports, no matter which port there.
Then the new wifi router has to be running in a "Bridge" mode to pass all network traffic from the main router through to the clients on the secondary AP. Make sure DHCP, NAT etc are disabled in the new router. All clients connected through it should be seen by the first "main" router "unobstructed" for stable connection. If you use dynamic addressing, then the first router will assign addresses to the clients connected via new AP.
