Default Bosch 880 Triangle and Exclamation Mark

    Hi guys,

I have a Bosch Wireless system and my place and have had a PIR trigger false alarms so i decided to delete the certain RF device from the keypad, which was successful but now i have a Triangle and exclamtion mark on the keypad.

Ive tried re adding the RF device which adds successfully but the triangle and exclamation mark remains.

    Any tips?

    Default Fault Diagnosis.

Try holding the 5 key down for about 2 seconds. The keypad should beep, and show an error number. Check your user manual for that number, or post it on here for further information.

Get married so you have someone to tell you that you should read the manual.
When you deleted the zone you would have been left with an unsealed zone with no EOL.

    Hi guys!

    Sorry for the delay.

When I press and hold 5 to get a report, Zone 2 flashes which the manual says is a low battery.

I'm thinking it's reporting low battery coz the RF is not there anymore.

Watchdog, I have read the manual and I removed the RF device step by step but there is no mention of the error I'm having.

Hold 5 until it beeps twice, the number that comes up from memory should be solid not flashing.
If it is number 2 that comes up then press 2 and see what number comes up

When a wireless device comes up with Low Battery, it is best to change the batteries in all the other wireless devices in the system as well, since all the batteries are probably the same age. Also, use good quality lithium batteries for the longest life.

Sorry for the confusion but I have deleted Zone 2 via the keypad so Zone 2 shouldn't exist anymore.

    Cool

Have you have deleted zone 2 as a functioning zone with a zone type 15 or have you deleted the zone as a wireless zone by deleting the wireless device code. If the latter then you will need to place an EOL resistor on the zone I/P or delete it as a functioning zone by making it a zone type 15.

Correct, but this doesn't explain why the OP is getting a FAULT displayed on the keypad, as an unsealed zone will not generate a fault condition.
