Network nex-4 faint chirping from siren
Hi all,
We recently had a builder in to do some work, during this work we needed to disconnect the main box whilst we moved a wall and then reconnect it.
I took photos of the wiring and wrote it all down but misplaced the writing.
Today I wired it all back up to what I believe is the correct way.
I tested it all and the alarm trips correctly with the zones and sounds properly as well. After running all my tests I thought I was home free though I haven't checked the smoke alarm yet.
After this I was reading in the living room near the siren and I could hear a faint chirp coming from the siren.
It sounds every second and sounds like birds chirping in the roof.
The service light is lit so I press * 2 and 7 lights up which should be a com error.
I checked the phone line and it has dial tone but there is no control centre.
Does anyone know what this could be?
Have I wired something wrong?
Cheers

check your power connections.also check your battery
The chirping is likely because you wired your internal siren to the external siren output. As for comms, get a tech.
It's a leaky relay I tells ya.

Thanks guys. I'm going to poke it with a stick tomorrow and see if that helps.
The battery was likely flat so I'll check that first then recheck my wiring also. I'll just work backward and see if I can get it.
I'd call a tech but when all is said and done if rather just rip the system out than pay the extra to get a tech out. We don't claim insurance rebate and rarely turn the alarm on.
Thanks for the help though.

Found the problemwhen I was putting the box back on the wall the resistor for the siren came out and has fallen into the ether.
So I need to go get a new resistor from jaycar tomorrow. Either that or go through the vacuum cleaner looking for the bit I dropped
