wireshark
Hi all,
Got an issue with an SBS2003 server and I need a tool to scan the network for any other servers.
The problem is that SBS2003 is suppose to live on a network by itself and has been happily running for years but every now and then recently it shuts down with SBCore events 1011 and 1012....

wireshark
Angry IP Scanner
dont say linux if i wanted it id install it
Wireshark is great for analysing the actual packets not sure if it has a network scan function (it may do). I've never used Angry IP Scanner, but I would recommend Nmap.
If you are running from a Windows Platform (which it sounds like you are) Zenmap has a nice GUI which you can use to perform Nmap scans.
This allows you to scan an IP range, and will also show you in-depth information about each host, it can also be used to determine open ports etc.
If you need any help using it let me know
