    Default Boat trailer alarm

I was asked today about trailer & caravan alarms today.

Client was thinking of getting a boat & knows of the various locking systems used but wanted to know if I could hook up an audible alarm to the boat trailer if somebody tried to move it..

Is there a proximity alarm or something that can be attached to the boat / trailer & connected to a house alarm system?

Something like the Paradox GS250 or a Honeywell 5870API might do the trick, but you'd need to make sure the boat was parked close enough to his house (usually a polite thing to do anyway) for the wireless to work. Also, you'd need to protect it from both the weather and salt water although I expect you could mount it in a waterproof box without affecting range or operation too much.
