Lightbulb Forcefield "user last access report"

    Hey guys.

We have a customer using Forcefield. On Friday they had a power cut that shut down FF and since then the "user last access" report is only showing the users who have badged in since it started up again. I have contacted NZ Tech support in the past regarding this and have been told that this report can not be repopulated. I find this hard to believe because all the data is there. FF just needs to go looking for it. There has to be a way to rebuild it.

This report is very important to this customer as they use the report in various ways via Excel. Luckily, I backed up the report on Tuesday so they have a mostly complete backup but with 2500 users and 3 days missing it is going to be a big job to recover the missing data and build a complete picture. Has anybody done anything like this before?

If it's that critical, why is there no UPS on the system?

They do have a very large UPS. This power cut appears to have been caused by the electricians or Telecom technicians who were onsite because the building is getting renovated. It is entirely likely they unplugged FF along with a bunch of other stuff during the power upgrade of the PABX room.

    Default Forcefield Reset?

Check if the Install CD is still in the drive (or the USB stick for newer models).
If the power went off, and the CD is in the drive, it will automatically install a clean version of FF when power is restored.
If that has not happened, then the history will be stored on the FF HDD, and can be recovered by doing a History Report!
