I guess you could use Hamachi, although I haven't used it in years but it used to enable sharing of folders etc.
edit.... it used to be free, but might not be now
I have quite a large movie collection on my NAS drive a Buffalo
I would like to establish a VPN between my NAS or my PC and my Brothers PC and was wondering how to do it.
My router is a Netgear
Any help would be appreciated
thanks
Sorry, I forgot to add we are both on Cable internet with dynamic IP's

In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Yeah looked at that - thanks for the reminder
I'm thinking I might just stick with Team viewer - I was hoping that a VPN might just lead to quicker dl's

have setup the Buffalo's Web Access Technology ? that should do the trick for your brother or even for you form from a remote PC,(from work one, or any other,as it's using the internet and can be accessed from any browser)
it's simply links your NAS to the Buffalo's Web Access site, then your upload speed will be used.
see how you go ?
