    Default Ness R16 Wireless PIR

    Hi Guys,

Did a walk test on my system today (going away for a few days) everything is perfect apart from one of the PIR's.

Waited 10 minutes for it to reset the detection time, walked around NO red LED. Pulled the cover off and it sent a tamper.

It's not detecting movement at all, just the tamper....

Now zone 5 is lit on the codepad, and won't go away... i've acknowledged the tamper on the panel

Has the LED link been set to "LED off"? some wireless PIR's dont flash the LED to save battery power. Arm and Disarm your system that should clear your keypad.
Best way to check either let the PIR go to "sleep" have someone watch the keypad as you walk in front of the PIR, it should flash up.

Now after re reading your post, did you walk test by going into 'walk test mode'? or just walk in front of the PIR?

It's a bit of a late post and your probably on your holiday at the moment, so i hope Rob's not around.

The LED was left on "default" settings when installed. LED always came on. Power saving mode of 5 minutes.

I've tried arming the panel, waiting 10 minutes and walking infront of it ... nothing ...... walking in front of the PIR. Nothing shows on the codepad. It's got my buggered I've even removed the zone, and re-programmed.

Looks like it might be time for a new PIR

Try deleting the PIR out of the panel and re-learning it in again.
