I have tried the saint etienne from aldi , tastes just like stella artois and for $29 a slab is good value.

Yes I tried that, not too bad but the $32 Frasier Briggs is better so I thought their $25 cans might be a bit of a shocker if I were to go by price.
I am to stingy to take the risk, so I hoped somebody else might have

Wonder what the used by is?
I think i'm about done with the Cheap Beers deals from OZB or Dans
Last time i purchased 3 boxes of 500ml Heineken Cans for a very cheap price, and i must say, it was disgusting.
It was an effort to get them down.

Hope the Stella is in good condition mate

For a dollar more head over to Aldi and grab a carton of Pale Ale from Storm (green box). You can also get a six pack for $8.99 to try.
Very tasty, nice hop, almost craft brew quality. Actually I have tried some much more expensive craft brews that didn't taste as good.
They go away fast but more keep coming back, I hope.

They also have Coopers Pale Ale too ATM for a hideous price with only 12 in the carton.

The other Storm brews (silver and blue) from them are not so good, although the blue light brew for $23 is still better than your wet cardboard Aussie swill.

....and no, I still haven't tried that Rivet stuff and as long as they have that Pale Ale I never will.

Actually it took years in my part of the woods before the drunken sods put so much pressure on the councils that they had to give in and approve.

...but I agree about who pats who on the back and the powers of Coles/Woolies.
Once Aldi gets stronger in WA things will change.

    Until then enjoy the Stella

Aldi has only just opened in SoufOrz too, so no liquor here either.

Its made in Vietnam, and its ok... more than 6 give you a good headache

It is now commonly known as the "Uni Beer".

Last time i bought some, was 2 young kids also buying a box, i said "its ok for the price hey lads", he replied with "I have $40 left in my bank account, that's it"
I praised him for buying beer with the last of his money

If you are into the more crafty stuff, Aldi has currently this Thunder Road XPA for only $9.99 a six pack, which I highly recommend, that is if you like well hopped ales with an explosion of malts.
Shame they don't have cartons because I would buy all of them.
I can't find it on the Aldi website or Dan's (they have other Thunder Rod stuff in cans for a hideous price) so I nicked the image from
