Default Need to extend wireless to another room.

I now have an Optus Cable into an Netgear CG3000 wireless router as my main entry point.
One of my rooms has LAN cable in a wall plate going to Home theatre (HT) from one of the Netgear Lan ports wired thru the house from a few rooms away.
I want to be able to use my ipad wireless in the HT room but signal is very low.

I have a couple of older wireless N routers. Can I plug one into the LAN in the HT room and re transmit?
If so should I use the Wan or Lan ports for this . I will still need to plug in the HT with Lan cable.

    Thanks Bazzle

Edit: change Netcomm to Netgear CG3000

Buy an Access Point or a WiFi Booster off Ebay.

You can do it quite easily. My setup is such that My wireless modem/router lives in one room, I have a modem router (not connected to adsl) in my living room to cater for fixed computer, Tbox and other devices as needed. And I also have a wireless modem/router (again not connected to ADSL) in my office (which is inside a tin shed). For connection I connect my slave routers to a free port on my main router and use one port on the slaves as my AP Your only concern is ensuring that IP conflicts do not occur and, to see all devices on the network ensure that they all have the same address range. My main device is a billion to which is slaved a netgear and a netcomm. It is easier if everything is the same, but it still works. Just remember to ensure each modem has a unique IP address too.

    Thanks fellas.

I looked at a better aerial but there is no aerial socket on the Netgear cg3000 (1st post amended)
I also looked at the boosters. I dont mind spending a few $$ but tI have a couple of DLinks and an Belkin N so would at least like try an experiment 1st.
I cant move the Netgear as it has all Lan ports utilised and hard wired.
    @ Lsemmens
I will try what you suggest.
I assume you leave the Wan port alone and just use the Lan ports?

Basically you just want use the router as an ap.
use the LAN port on the second router
Turn dhcp off on the 2nd router
Make sure you set the ip of the different to the 1st router.
It's easier if you put the ip in the same range and subnet if you want to change wifi settings it's less of a pain but not actually required

I ended up plugging in the lan from the Netgear into the wan port, 1st lan port back to where that came from, Home theatre.
Wireless is now strong in that room albeit has a differnet name and login but all works well .
It is a Belkin. Just had to press the button on the top and it did the rest

I aslo downloaded inSSider that lets you see what else is on your channel, nominally, 1,11 or 6.
I then changed the channels in each room for the ones with minimum other local channels
