Can somebody recommend a good modem, need reliability, good speeds, wireless encryption (i think they all have this), a strong wireless signal and the ability to play with DNS setting manually.

Same as diavalo, very happy with my Billion
I see there is a Billion 7800N $138 and Billion 7800NL $99...... the N comes with 3 antenna and NL comes with 2 antenna.
Which model to you guys use?
Billion hands down, they have great support also

I like my Modems like my Razor's
I was just wondering which unit the boys were talking about.
I am using a Netgear DGND 3700 and am very happy with it.
I considered the Billion range but found this modem was better featured and out performed the equivalent Billion model. 2 x USB ports also sold me, dual frequency 2.4 and 5 ghz is also handy.
Opinions of netgear N900 wndr4500 ?
Another one for the 7800N.
Just found out the N900 is only a router....
Ordered a Netgear DGND3700 N600 Dual Band Gigabit Modem Router from MLN computers who we get all our business computer gear through, new stock next week with new firmware.
Edit, just called them up and canceled that order......going for the Netgear D6300 AC1600, might as well spend once and get it right (i hope)
Starting to understand how my customers behave and become a pain in the butt, called MLN half a dozen times and started to get on their nerves. LOL

OK the netgear D6300 is working.
Now some warnings about the unit.....after pulling my hair for 4 hours last night.
Connected it up, it has a quick setup where you only input your Telstra account name and password and it auto detects your settings to run.
Went in, input what it wanted and it rejected it (wrong user name or password).
Called Telstra and was told its the modem, call Netgear.
Called Netgear, went through the phone prompts and was told their operators are currently overloaded, thanks for calling and they hung up.....was starting to wonder how good this unit was it their help techs were overloaded.
Connected old modem back up, went to telstras setup page, printed it, reconnected new modem and went in to manually try to configure it, spent a good 2 hours tweaking the settings till it ran (due to not being internet Tech savy) .
To cut a long story short Telstra recommended PPPoA with VCMUX, wouldnt work, finally got it going selecting PPPOE with LLC.
Dont ask, it works.
Turned out to be a pain in the butt to setup, i came close to returning it.
