Note the MUI-files are taken from Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3, hence may not properly work with previous versions of Windows CE.

    Usage:

    1. Make sure all the MUI-files provided at startup are present in folder \Windows
    2. Make sure the device's registry contains entries as follwing at startup

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI]
    "CurLang"=dword:00000409
    "enable"=dword:00000001
    "SysLang"=dword:00000409

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI]
    "CurLang"=dword:00000409
    "enable"=dword:00000001
    "SysLang"=dword:00000409

    I have an aigo nano projector with win ce 6 r3 Japanese
    I followed all instructions above.
    it goes all well until I reboot. then the copied files are gone. but registry modifications are still OK.
    it looks like a freeze system. and I noticed there is no real reboot button. when I click [start] it shows [suspend ] then OK.
    moreover, It can not show fonts other than English and Japanese, when I add arabic fonts for example to the [font] folder, they all disapper after reset.
    any advice? how to keep my copied files there after reset ?

    Thank you for your reply. But I could not make use of that link. it is about How to replace files in \Windows\ folder. my case is how to add and keep files.
    I have no problem in copying. but how to keep them there.
    if you can help by a simple tutorial I would be grateful. specially that I am not so good in editing registry.

    All you have to do is
    1. copy the MUI files to your unit's NAND-flash, say \Nand\MUI-Files - NOT to \Windows !!!
    2. copy a copier utility (recommended TULL) to your device's NAND-flash, say \Nand\MyPrograms
    3. Follow instructions in the guide, i.e. add to registry in \HKLM\init the copier that will copy the MUI files
    during boot from \Nand\MUI-Files to \Windows

    You should make use of the link, because that's the guide. Please re-read it.

    Thank you very much for your help.
    However, I discovered that the TULL.exe does not work. and I could not find it anywhere on the internet.
    if you know any alternative copier utility, I appreciate if you send me its link.

    Re-uploaded TULL.zip here to:

    Hint: Rename TULL.exe and accompanying .INI-file to something meaningful, ex. CopyMUIFiles.exe / CopyMUIFiles.ini

    Good luck!

    Old thread is old and the link from the first post to the english mui-file is dead.

    But this one is the only source that i can find that at least was there "once".

    Any chance that someone re-upps that mui-file?

    Is my assumption, that if i install/use this file correctly, that for example the WinCE-Home-Button, all the "links" in the settings/configure and also the language within those will be in english and not be chinese scribbles anymore?

    The download link is in post 1 where it says HERE but when you click that the link is not there anymore.
    do not waist your time trying to download because the link is not there where it supposed to be.

    What do you expect from a link in a post that's over 4 years old?

    How about you read properly before making a useless post, wasting everyone's time.

    Closed.
