hi, all

i have 3 servers i want to link together
using HP Procurve Switch 2124 J4868A 24-Port 10/100Base-TX
all running windows server 2008r2,

ive tried prog called putty, to config the setup,
and i am having no luck...

but i realy dont want to use it...

should i be able to cmd prompt, i have tried to ping
also tried ipconfig /all to find ports

i just want to setup a simple vlan, so i can communicate and share internet access throught the switch and the servers.

i have some a work that were passworded before i got to them.
i think i telneted in with serial cable direct and was able to change password/ config ip etc.

If you are not going to setup multiple Vlans then I would suggest just reset the device. Instructions can be found on the net. Then connect like a dumb switch between devices.
