Default WiFi 'Booster Apps', fact or fiction?

I have just sent the Bauhn Tablet away as I am sure the damn thing is as deaf as a post as it simply wont connect to the Wifi even when its beside the router and I was just looking through the Google store to replace the Apps I wiped doing a reset and I saw these so called 'Wifi Boosters' that claim to improve connection etc and I wondered if anyone has used them and what were the results from installing it.

My BS detector just went off. It's extremely unlikely anything good will come from installing one of those apps, IMO.

One way to judge its value is its cost and this is FREE so what does that tell you ?

I would agree it sounds like BS.

Haha, this x100. I am going to say this app is nothing more than a ruse to get some ad revenue from suckers.

This reminds me of a hilarious video I saw a couple years back and sadly believed at the time.

Probably that's not what OP meant with "WiFi Booster":
But it's proven to work ...
