Default TomTom Navigator 7 for PDA - ASUS A636N Problem

I have the following issues with the new version which were not problems in the old version. Is anybody else who has an ASUS MyPal having the same issues ?

    Problem #1

When you soft power off the PDA while TomTom is on, when you press it back on, you see TomTom on the screen for half a second before it totally exits and takes you back to the Today screen. By soft power off I mean just pressing the power button on top briefly.

    Problem #2

The speed camera POI's only seem to work when you are navigating (you have entered a location to travel to) and doesn't seem to work when it hasn't got a destination tapped into it.

Both these things did not occur on V6. Any Idea's. Im running WM5.

    Appreciate any feedback

    Cheers

    Hi Troy Boy

On your PDA / TomTom device
Try going to change preferences / Manage Poi's/ Warn when near POI.
    now select speed cameras OK
now select warning type(if you have already a warning dont remove) OK
now select distance for warning (I have 500M) OK
Now select tone for warning yes
    now the magic bit

Warn if only if POI is on route UNTICK the box

now should work wether you have a route or not.

    Cheers

    troyboy,
I don't have the Problem 1 at all, the difference is I am running os6. Maybe you want to consider os upgrade. The ver.6 o/s is very stable and my PDA works much better with it.
Also I am with extradry regarding Problem2, even though I didn't try to use it without navigating. Will try tomorrow and if see the same problem will post in here.

Yes, it works when not navigating to an address. Just untick the "Warn only if on route" option and it will warn you.
