Wallyboy,
You obviously haven't bothered to read posts 22 and 23.
Hi Shihan
I installed igo in a htc mobile - it clicked every 1 - 2 seconds and discovered it was an operating system noise - ie I had to turn off an option of the phone to stop it.
If you have a look at the GPS page of igo - you will see there is a green icon flashing.........this is where the noise is generated from - the system in the unit, my case Windows 6.1 mobile, clicked in unisen with this icon
hope this helps

Thankyou for the response freakee1.....may l ask for the url this webpage you mention as l have just been to nav-n-go and could not see any mention of it or the green flashing icon.......so must be on the wrong page...it is so annoying click click...thanks again
Hey Shihan
no web page.......
but an observation - I installed igo8 for a friend at work on their new htc mobile phone and it clicked every couple of seconds - I thought it was a warning or something like that (inside & no GPS signal) but discovered it was the mobile clicking due to the little green flashing thing in the gps page of the igo8 software on the phone.........
try this
open igo8, when it opens the map page, up the top right hand corner there is a little picture of a car and some strengh bars (battery & signal) click there and open the gps data, down the bottom is a picture of a satellite - click on that - you will notice 3 green bars flashing and you will notice that this is the clicking.........
now this is the bit where you have to work out how to turn this clicking off......I figured out in my case it is a response to windows mobile
hope this is a little clearer

Thanks bloke ....found the answer.....go into sounds setting in windows and turn off hardware key sounds....fixed......on a further note had igo 8 .0.***** worked really good then update to 8.3.**** really slow load times...not happy on the htc....
finally found a site that has some smart people......installed IGO 8 from your download links and it works...tried adding my old miomaps and nothing...this is on a mio A700 smart phone I got in thailand 3 years ago. I opened all the winRaR files into the IGO8 file before I installed it prob fixes the POI prob someone else had?...I need maps for SE asia if anyone has links?...and New Zealand...??? I got lots of stuff 2 share..... just ask
I installed this proggie and some other files that go under the content folder and it WORKS! Thanks sooo much! I've been searching around for ages for a gps proggie for my HTC Touch Pro. I also have the Samsung Omnia and dl'ed the same program but for the Omnia and it works perfectly too!
Much appreciated Great work!
G'day all, I have it running on my ezynav gps running windows ce 4.2 by launching it through the file explorer. how do i set it up to auto run instead of it running igo7 all the time?
Thank you for your help
Hi Saltboy I can't download any IGO 8 maps without needing an Activation code, can you suggest where I could download a copy that doesn't need activation the link on your post is no longer available.
