Default GPS CE 6.0 Rescue Disk

I made a quick compilation of well known start-routines to be run from device's SD-card if device boots up. You might use this if your device has been bricked for any reasons, but device still detects SD-card.

    How to:

Extract .ZIP to your desktop pc. Do NOT extract to sd-card!

Edit with Notepad all files with extension .INI and/or .INF, means add a single line such as

    <Storage Card>\Autorun.exe

where you replace <Storage Card> with the card's real name used be CE, ex. "\SDMMC" (without the quotes of course)

Copy content (!!!) of (extracted) .ZIP to root of any freshly FAT-32 formatted sd-card.

    Power off device.

    Insert sd-card.

    Power on device.

    >> With some luck you should have access to device's OS.

    HTH

    P.S.

It should be easy to extend contents of this compilation to match your needs.

Wasn't aware it'ld be so difficult to understand.

You have to add in files with extension .INI / .INF ( as there are shell, YFAutorun, Autorun ) a line that finally might read as \SDMMC\Autorun.exe.

Important: \SDMMC used above only is an example! You must use SD-card's name as Windows CE uses, i.e. the SD-card's name hard-coded in Windows CE.

If you don't know which name Windows CE uses for the SD-card, aside SDMMC used above in the example, you can try these well known names, too

    Storage Card
    SDCard
    SD Card
    SDMemory
    SDMemory1
    SDHCMemory
    MMC
    HSMMC

    etc. pp

The author of the software is no longer a member here.

Why not try it to see if it will run under CE5?

It's not rocket science. It either runs or it doesn't

Repeatedly insulting staff after a warning and infraction... very stupid.
