Default OSCAM (or similar) still possible with the Foxtel iQHD (cable) cards?

A few years back I worked out the right combo of software/hardware, reader, & card that enabled me to tune/record Foxtel Cable via my HEPC.
But quite few years have passed, & I've been "out-of-the-loop" when it comes to all the latest developments...
Does anyone here know if this is still possible with the latest STB's (iQHD etc) that use the orange (versus blue) cards?
I fully intend to remain a paying subscriber....
I'd just rather have Foxtel content funneled via a far better sw_system/user_interface, one that integrates with all aspects of my Home Entertainment PC/System.

If absolutely not possible, then sadly I'll have to thoroughly re-investigate video/audio capture via a HDCP stripper etc.
There was some great options there a few years back, no doubt they're even better nowadays...

    Notes:
Foxtel card mentioned in this OSCAM wiki, but it's not clear what card it's talking about

    Audio/Video capture devices:
(hauppauge had some excellent options too)

The wiki is referring to 096C cards which are the orange ones. The wiki should be updated as neither 096C (orange) or 090B (blue) have worked in any third party STB units for somewhere between 1 and 2 years, at least not using the public version of oscam or any other public release softcam. There might be private releases but I'm not aware of any out there.

I don't suppose you can go into the back story on this?
I've read several older threads in this sub-forum, but couldn't glean heaps of detail/tech-info.

What about specialised/individual readers? (not entire STB's)

True, sigh, I guess I'll have to begin some epic research on that front again.
It can be a real "cloak & dagger" community, here's hoping...

There's not a lot of info because I'm not sure anyone knows exactly what they've done I'm afraid.

Yes, people are much more reluctant to post information these days. IMO this is because there are now too many people looking to make big profits ultimatley destroying it for all. Most people just want to be able to watch paytv in their own STB.

Any pointers on some/most of the places to try, in order to glean all the latest developments?

Only here, however there hasn't been much activity for some time. The other place is streamboard but same story there really. Hope I didn't spoil your Saturday :-)

So everyone that wants what was possible on DVB-C a few yrs back, has now shifted to DVB-S from what I can garner >.>
Bugger that, I've just finished re-bundling/packaging a whole bunch of services, staying with Cable for Pay TV...
Unless I find it's having too much of a negative impact on my broadband cable service (will re-asses soon), in which case I may re-evaluate DVB-S.

There's got to be several other sources, sigh, will just have to dig around, thanks anyway.
Yes, Saturday pretty much thrown a curve ball, always the way in this field >.>

Oh, I thought DVB-S was still using the same encryption system that DVB-C once was?
Actually I do vaguely recall reading that this latest speed-bump has nothing to do with encryption as such.
I guess I'm not getting how it's got nothing to do with encryption, as it alone is quite critical in determining how locked-in to a reader/STB a card is.
