    I would doubt it.
That being the case, Foxtel are assuming and/or expecting a customer to have a landline and/or internet.
    What if they simply dont?
Most 2nd or 3rd boxes are in a bedroom where there is no phone line anyway.

A lot of people just live off a mobile phone now days :-)

Aluminum Foil is on special at Coles ;-)

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!

Yep, I'm getting the same msg on about 20+ channels here.

Note how UKTV and Arena is greyed out. When I press those channels, this error comes up:

As the above post shows, it doesn't say you need to connect to the phone line... just the internet.

True, ADSL is provided on a phone line, but there is also naked ADSL (no telephone) plus wireless broadband, cable, NBN etc, so it's not a 'phone' connection that's required to access the service.

I also think Foxtel are just trying to advertise their Internet services .... rather than trying to catch people out

Have a look at the time! The reason it is greyed out is that the program has ended. What you are seeing is an option to download a program you have just missed. If you navigate to the next program (Midsomer Murders), The guide behaves as it always has.
