Take pictures of it and put it in the BS forum. Might get something for it.
A friend has just dumped a Hughes Ku band dish and modems at my shed. I have no use for it, but is it of any use at all, or do I consign it to the tip?
Modems are DW3-R1 and DW4-T1, with power supply and all cables. Dish is plastic oval shaped with feed horn, mast, etc.

By reading this, you have already given me control over a tiny slice of your mind
Yep, it's always got a good home here if you don't want to pay the tip fees.
Probably even swap it for a more useful hobbiest dish and LNC etc.
You should use it and see if you can contact ET
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
Sounds like Bigpond Vsat equipment - 74 or 98 cm dish with 1watt transmitter and single polarity LNB. The modems are separate transmitter and receiver indoor units. These were bloody expensive when new, but somebody out there might need spare parts.
Pretty useless now, although the dish & buc are usable for Orionsat or Reachnet sat internet.
I got a use for them, but I only got as close as Yass last week
Sooner or later I'll be passing by if you still have it. I might have something worthwhile to swap for it
EEprommemory has it at the moment, just waiting for PM. Let you know if he changes his mind.

14 gig up-link tx isnt it trash? could be usefull

Yes, 14.000 - 14.500GHz.
They require some special signals to control them.
Good for satellite piracy, not much good for anything else unless you're prepared to spend some time reworking the RF section.
On its way to EEprommemory.

Hi Glenhuon. Sorry, but I'm a bit late on this. Very late. I don't need the mount bracket now, as I found one that will fit it. Thankyou.
No worries Mick. I'll put it in a corner, might find a use for it myself
