Default Windows 8: Start Menu Modifier 1.2

Q: Can be started parallel Windows 8 Desktop and Windows 8 Metro UI?
A: YES, if Microsoft .NET is installed on the Windows 8 computer.

The start menu in previous versions of Windows no longer exists in Windows 8. Instead you get with a click on the Start button or pressing the Windows button on the surface of the Modern UI, which by default opens in full-screen mode and stops so visually any workflow.

Here, the freeware "Start Menu Modifier" comes in the game. When you first start the tool set whether the start menu in the future slips from above or below in the picture – in both cases, it takes only a small portion of the available space in claim. In addition, you decide on which monitor the start menu should open.

You can start programs and apps continue as usual in the scaled-down menu, only the arrangement of tiles changes. The search works as usual. At the same time, programs and Windows in the background remain visible.

    HOW TO:

Create on desktop a shortcut to "Start Menu Modifier".
Start "Start Menu Modifier" via shortcut created.
    In it's settings window
    - select as position "Fill screen, show taskbar",
    - check both "Launch at toggle" and "Run at Windows Startup".
    Press "Apply".

I have uploaded the tiny tool .

    Enjoy.

Will definitely try it out. My sister has had issues navigating through Windows 8 I think might help. Personally I am enjoying the new Windows 8 but some people hate it with a passion.
