    I still use PMVN4031E R00.02.10 on both MCX 760-780, PTX 760-780

There might be later versions but this one still works for me

Hi Guys I'm new here and I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question I have 2 Brand new xtl2500 radio's with remote handpiece PMUN1034C they were both starting up fine.

    Until:

I plugged in a programing cable to the front 25 pin connector and connnected it to the PC no attempt was made to read the Radio VIA cps. Inline 3 amp fuse to power supply no damage to PC serial port, no damage to pc no blown fuse computor did not shutdown or go to blue screen.

Putting amp meter inline when first plugged into power supply it draws 290 Milli Amps for about 1/2 second then draws no more.
connecting the ignition detect line to power has no effect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thankfully I only tried this cable on one radio .

    Thanks.

squirrel-41 - you are on the correct web site and in the correct sub forums but..... you are in the wrong thread. this thread is about the MCX 760 not the XTL2500. I suggest you look through the threads in the "communications devices" sub forums, maybe use the search function and see if you can find some info similar to your issue. Worst case start your own thread. What you have done is called hijacking, your new here so you are being cut a break.

Ohh and yes I think I know what your issue is. When you get straitened out I will see if you can be helped.
