Also ran Double Driver 4.1.0 on my Win 8.1 machine. No abnormalies at all. Best thing of all things using this freeware is, you instantly get a driver-installed-report, without using Device Manager.

In my case the report created looks like

    Code:

All .INF files are located in C:\Windows\Inf.

So I had to go there and look for example into the oem46.inf file to get out which files the driver consist of:
    Code:
    [SourceDisksFiles]
    rtsuvc.sys
    RtCamX.dll
    RtCamX64.dll
    RtCamU.exe
    RtCamU64.exe
    RtTWN.ds
    RTFTrack.exe
    FTData.xml
    FTDataP.xml
    FTDataR0.xml
    FTDataR1.xml

Hence it is important that you backup Windows 7/8 drivers and keep it safe for times when you’ll need it. Best storage location is an extra partition on HDD.

As you will have noticed, the software offers restoring option which can be used as and when required. For me, that is another PRO
