Well I decided to try the new version (29) as delivered & I like it. Yeah I know I'm not normal.
None of my toolbars disappeared & the repositioning of all the functions of the FireFox button to icons at the top right corner is a good idea.
The addition of the page zoom in the top of the Menu is a great idea, although I know the keybourd shortcuts for this, I find it much easier.
I guess they can't please everyone as some people really hate change.
Cheers, Tiny

Yes, currently it is set to the menu bar with the "minimise, maximise, close" buttons on the right. In previous incarnations those three buttons were on the title bar which usually displayed the title of the page that was currently displayed. I know that the tabs can show that, but, if you have numerous tabs open, it becomes difficult to keep track of them.
I loaded Firefox 29 2 nights ago and so far I like it!
No where near as much controversy as Win 8!
There are two items to be aware of/adjust to. Those two icons are on the right side at the top!
The icon with three horizontal black lines and the "clipboard" icon.
The 3 black lines replace the orange tab that used to be on the upper left, and the clipboard is your bookmarks!
When you install 29 go thru the short tutorial and you will find everything just "t!t$" (as they say in Ohio when everything is fine)!
To restore the title bar in FF29; got to Menu (3 bars top right/Customize (bottom left), go to bottom left of customize screen & toggle Title bar on/off.
Alternative; Right click any of the icons on upper right, select Customize (bottom), go to bottom left of customize screen & toggle Title bar on/off.
With either of these options you can also add or subtract the Menu Bar & Bookmarks Toolbar. Look & you will see.
Edit: Just noticed the new version 29 install has reverted my spell checker back to English(United States).
To correct this, right click on a misspelled word or on any area of a text input dialogue such as the quick reply below, select Languages & reselect English(Australia) or whatever your preference.
If you don't have the correct spell check dictionary for you, then select Languages/Add Dictionaries & find/install the one you want.
English(New Zealand) could be interesting??
PS: It wont change the way Customize/Customise is spelt in the FF menu.
