    Default new mcafee warning that "cookies are turned off"

    My wife's lappy has just started displaying a pop-up with what LOOKS like an official Mcafee pop-up, but she doesn't use mcafee...and notice wont piss-off, task manager nothing will get rid of it

    anyone heard of this

    just tried google, nothing there

    therese a mcafee app that auto installs if you update flash on ie or firefox
    you need to unick the box when updating adobe flash
    just remove it through add\remove programs

    Yea, second that Phil, there is a free Mcafee security scan that can install when updating flash.
    Your wife may have thought it important or didn't know the box was ticked.
    Should uninstall easily thru Add/Remove progs.

    if not manually delete the folder then use a registry cleaner to specifically search and remove mcafee entries! Dont know why adobe allows mcafee to tag along like that! it's sneaky and not needed!
