Found that wind you are missing, it turned up here last night, can I send it back?
You can keep your Victorian weather up there in future please.
Trees down blocking road, council out unblocking road (cool saves me doing it).
Neighbour had a shed implode, no real damage here; just a few trees down, hopefully none across the fences - haven't checked all the fences yet as it is still a tad blowy. Horses all in one piece although shaken & stirred.
    Cheers, Tiny

    Weird weather we having lately
Melbourne got lashed yesterday, while where i am am 2hours west, not a breath of wind, ocean like a mirror, mild and humid all night.

One thing id like to ask some older Melbourne Members, do you remember us getting hail to the size we are seeing now?
I remember hail as a kid and now in my area, its always just been normal small hail, like 3-4mm across
3 weeks ago we got hail that i measured at 10-12mm, and it was pinging off the roof and caravan, i had vehicles tucked away.

In Meld yesterday the hail looked pretty decent also, i'd say more like 20mm from what i've seen on the news

Is it just me, or are we getting more of this damaging hail in Victoria now?
I'm used to NSW and QLD getting hail that writes off cars, but not us.

EDIT: Looks like my Melb Hail estimations were a bit out, here are some examples of yesterdays hail in Melb.

    And then this bruiser!!!!

Going to be a booming business in Vehicle Shelters and Paintless Dent removal in Vic soon.

I think we are beginning to see changes in weather that we were used to being brought on by our population expansion.
I am going to use the term 'Global Warming' here but in the context of areas being opened up for housing which has a known effect on the weather.
The fact that there are now people living in areas where only the grass grew and the kangaroo's roamed means they are now experiencing storms and the like that no one knew happened there before.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

    Car Dealers??
    I guess Caravan too......

I met a guy 3 years ago, he has a Paintless Dent removal business, he generally has a note on his industrial shed saying "Gone to QLD or NSW for hail damage".
Him and his Mrs take off in their caravan and he works for the Insurance Companies, makes more in 2 months than most make in a year.

From what i hear and what i've seen, he is very good at his craft (Teachers it in America too)
He would be busy in his own state this time around....

Would be interesting to see how the Insurance Companies handle bulk hail damage?
