check the domain nameservers are correct for the hosting
that would do it
My dad has a problem with his website and not getting any assistance from the hoster or designer. His domain name had expired which we rectified last week but its still not back online and we are unsure how to go about getting it back online ?

Yep, if it expired and was then renewed it may have defaulted back to the registrars name servers.
Thanks guys, how would i check that ?
You should have a login control panel for your domain name. It will have a settings section somewhere that allows DNS settings.
By default, the domain company will have their DNS in there which usually point the domain to a startup page.

As phil said check name servers are point to correct path your hosting company should be able to do that alternative pm your details and I'll have a look

It's amazing how 2 people could be one on forums, must be identity theft cough cough
You might want to also check that the domain was actually renewed on time.
*sorry, I just realised this is a really old thread. I guess this section isn't very activeCode:http://whois.ausregistry.net.au/whois/whois_local.jsp? http://whos.com/

Once the nameservers are setup, make sure your host has setup your account. As soon as 24-48 hours have lapsed check your website online.
